About Our 15-Yard Dumpsters
A 15-yard dumpster is one of our smaller roll-off containers, offering enough capacity for moderate debris volumes while fitting comfortably in residential driveways and job sites where space is at a premium. The "15-yard" measurement refers to cubic yards of volume. This container holds roughly 6.5 pickup truck loads of material.
The compact footprint makes the 15-yard dumpster ideal for projects in established neighborhoods, homes with limited driveway space, or properties where HOA rules restrict larger container placement. Despite its smaller size, this dumpster still provides plenty of room for small remodels, property cleanouts, and light construction debris.
Best Uses for a 15-Yard Dumpster
Small Remodels & Renovations
Bathroom updates, small kitchen remodels, and single-room renovations generate manageable amounts of debris that fit perfectly in a 15-yard container. You'll have room for old cabinets, drywall, flooring, fixtures, and trim without paying for capacity you don't need.
Garage, Basement & Shed Cleanouts
Clearing out accumulated items from a garage, basement, attic, or shed often fills exactly what a 15-yard dumpster can handle. Whether you're organizing, downsizing, or preparing for a sale, this size gives you space to dispose of unwanted furniture, boxes, old appliances, and miscellaneous clutter.
Yard Debris & Landscaping Projects
Trimming trees, removing shrubs, clearing overgrown landscaping, or tearing out old garden beds creates bulk that's easier to manage with a dumpster on-site. A 15-yard container handles branches, soil, sod, and plant material without multiple trips to the dump.
Light Demolition Work
Small demolition projects like tearing out a deck, removing a fence, or taking down a shed produce debris that fits comfortably in a 15-yard dumpster. The size works well for residential demo projects where you're working incrementally or in tight quarters.
What Can You Put in a 15-Yard Dumpster?
Our 15-yard dumpsters accept most common renovation and cleanout materials, including:
- Drywall, plaster, and lath
- Wood framing, trim, and dimensional lumber
- Flooring materials (carpet, laminate, tile, hardwood)
- Cabinets, countertops, and fixtures
- Roofing shingles (light loads only)
- Yard waste, branches, and brush
- Household furniture and junk
- General construction debris
What cannot go in a 15-yard dumpster:
- Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, solvents, oil)
- Electronics and appliances with freon
- Tires, batteries, and propane tanks
- Heavy materials like dirt, concrete, rock, or asphalt (better for a 12-yard heavy-duty dumpster)
If you're unsure whether your material is acceptable, call us. We'll give you a straight answer based on over 45 years of experience in excavation, demolition, and waste handling.
Pricing & Weight Limits
Dump fees for up to 2,000 pounds of material are included with your 15-yard dumpster rental. If your project produces debris that exceeds 2,000 pounds, an additional charge of $70 per ton (2,000 pounds) applies. We provide upfront pricing so you know what to expect, and we can help you estimate whether your project will stay within the included weight allowance.
Most small remodels, cleanouts, and yard projects fall comfortably within the 2,000-pound limit. Heavier materials like roofing shingles, wet debris, or large volumes of lumber may push closer to or over that threshold. When you call for your free estimate, we'll talk through your materials and give you an honest assessment.
