What You Can & Can’t Put in a Dumpster
Knowing what’s accepted before you start loading saves time and avoids problems at the transfer station. Here’s what goes in each container type:
- Standard (15-Yard, 20-Yard, and 30-Yard) Roll-Off Dumpsters: Lumber, drywall, flooring, roofing shingles, carpet, tile, cabinetry, countertops, siding, insulation, furniture, mattresses, household junk, appliances without freon, yard debris, fencing, and general construction or renovation waste.
- Heavy-Duty (12-Yard) Dumpsters: Concrete, asphalt, dirt, rock, and broken hardscape materials only. Can’t be mixed with general debris.
We can’t accept paint, chemicals, solvents, motor oil, pesticides, batteries, propane tanks, tires, electronics, or freon-containing appliances (refrigerators, freezers, window AC units) in any container. These materials require separate disposal through certified channels. If you’re unsure about a specific item, call before loading and we’ll give you a straight answer. You can also review our full accepted materials guidelines.
How Pricing Works
When you call for an estimate, we ask about your project and recommend a container size. The quoted price covers four things: delivery to your property, a standard rental period, pickup and haul-away, and dump fees up to the included weight limit for your container (2,000 lbs for a 15-yard, 4,000 lbs for a 20-yard, and 6,000 lbs for a 30-yard). Standard rental periods are 5 days for residential dumpsters and 7 days for commercial dumpsters, excluding Sundays, though we can work with you on a pickup date that fits your timeline.
If your load goes over the included weight, there’s a $60 per ton overage charge, disclosed before you commit. Extensions run $50 per day, also disclosed upfront. No delivery surcharges, no environmental fees, no administrative charges, and no surprise invoices. We price honestly because our values support that approach and because it’s the only way to build lasting relationships with the people and businesses we serve.

Common Questions
How Much Does a Dumpster Rental in Nampa Cost?
It depends on the container size. We provide free estimates and walk you through everything that’s included: delivery, rental period, pickup, and dump fees up to the included weight limit. No ballpark numbers with asterisks.
Can I Get Same-Day Dumpster Delivery in Nampa?
We accommodate same-day deliveries when possible. Give us a call and we’ll figure out what works with your schedule.
How Long Can I Keep the Dumpster?
Standard rental periods are 5 days for residential and 7 days for commercial dumpsters, excluding Sundays. Extensions are available at $50 per day.
What’s the Most Common Dumpster Size Rented in Nampa?
The 20-yard is our most-rented container by a wide margin. It covers many residential remodels, roofing jobs, and cleanouts without being oversized or overpriced for the work.
Can I Put Yard Waste in the Dumpster?
Yes. Tree branches, shrubs, sod, small amounts of dirt, and general yard debris are all accepted in our standard containers. Large quantities of dirt or rock go in the 12-yard heavy-duty container instead.
Do I Need a Permit to Place a Dumpster on a Nampa Street?
Yes. If the container will sit on a public street or within the right-of-way, the City of Nampa requires a ROW Traffic Permit from its Traffic Division. Driveway and private property placement doesn’t require one. We can help you think through placement options when you call.
Do You Serve Contractors Working on Multiple Job Sites?
Yes. We work with contractors who need containers at multiple locations throughout Nampa and Canyon County, coordinating delivery and pickup across sites so you have what you need, where you need it.
What If I Have a Question About a Specific Item?
Call us and ask. We’ll give you a direct answer about whether it can go in the dumpster or how to dispose of it properly. It’s better to check before loading than deal with a problem at the transfer station.
Do You Have a Yard in Nampa?
Yes. Rock Solid Dumpsters operates a yard in Nampa in addition to our main base in Melba. That local presence supports same-day and short-notice roll-off service throughout the city and the surrounding area.
Do You Offer Anything Besides Dumpster Rentals?
Yes. We also provide flatbed transport and material delivery for rock, gravel, soil, and more throughout Canyon County and Ada County. If your project needs materials in as well as debris out, we can handle both.
