What Is a 35-Yard Dumpster?
The 35-yard dumpster is the largest roll-off container in our fleet. The "35-yard" refers to cubic yards of interior volume. At 18 feet long and 82 inches tall, it holds far more than our smaller sizes, but that height also changes how it's loaded. The walls sit 86 inches off the ground, so this container works best when you're loading with a tractor, telehandler, or other equipment rather than by hand. It needs a site with room for a longer footprint and clear access for our truck.
Best Uses for a 35-Yard Dumpster
This size is built for projects where volume is the main challenge.
Here are the most common jobs we see it used for across Canyon County.
Large Demolition Projects
Tearing down a barn, outbuilding, garage, or large section of a home creates bulky debris fast. A 35-yard container holds it without constant pickups, and equipment can load it quickly.
Commercial Construction & Job Sites
New builds, tenant improvements, and multi-phase commercial projects produce steady debris. This size keeps sites clear longer between hauls, which helps crews stay on schedule.
Farm, Ranch & Property Cleanouts
Clearing old fencing, lumber piles, equipment scrap, and years of stored material from farms and large properties is a natural fit, especially when a tractor or telehandler is already on site.
Whole-Home & Estate Cleanouts
Full-house cleanouts, estate clearing, and moving out of large properties generate furniture and junk in bulk. One 35-yard dumpster can often handle the whole job.
What Can You Put in a 35-Yard Dumpster?
Our 35-yard dumpsters accept most common construction, demolition, and cleanout materials, including:
- Drywall, plaster, and lath
- Wood framing, trim, and dimensional lumber
- Flooring materials (carpet, laminate, tile, hardwood)
- Cabinets, countertops, and fixtures
- Roofing shingles
- Yard waste, branches, and brush
- Household furniture and junk
- General construction and demolition debris
What cannot go in a 35-yard dumpster:
- Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, solvents, oil)
- Electronics and appliances with freon
- Tires, batteries, and propane tanks
- Heavy materials like dirt, concrete, rock, or asphalt (better suited to a 12-yard heavy-duty dumpster)
Not sure whether your material is acceptable? Call us. We can give you a straight answer backed by over 45 years of experience in excavation, demolition, and waste handling.
35-Yard Dumpster Pricing & Rental Terms
The 35-yard dumpster rents starting at $575, which includes delivery, pickup, dump fees for up to 3 tons, and a 7-day rental period. Anything over 3 tons is charged as additional weight. We go over every cost before delivery so there are no surprises on pickup day.
Dumpster Weight & What to Expect
A 35-yard container holds a lot of volume, so it's easy to go past the 3 tons of dump fees included in your rental. Roofing, wet debris, and large amounts of lumber add weight quickly. That's okay, the extra weight is simply charged on top of your rental. Fill level must stay below the top rail for safe transport. When you call for a free estimate, we'll talk through your materials and give you an honest weight assessment before we schedule anything.
Rental Period & Long-Term Projects
Every 35-yard rental includes 7 days. If you're running a long-term project, let us know. We offer special consideration for extended jobs and will work with you on a schedule that fits your timeline.
