There's no better place to celebrate America's 250th birthday than a small-town Idaho parade. On the morning of July 4th, under clear blue skies and perfect mid-70s weather, the Rock Solid Dumpsters family rolled through the streets of Melba in the "Olde Tyme" 4th of July Parade, joining the thousands of neighbors who line the streets of Melba every year.
Spirit of 1776
This year's parade theme, "Spirit of 1776: Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom," made 2026 one for the history books. Our big dumpster truck led the way, flying a custom banner marking 250 Years of Freedom, 1776 to 2026, complete with the Liberty Bell, the Statue of Liberty, and a bald eagle front and center.
For us, it was a full family affair.
Lance and Barbi were joined by their kids and grandkids, three generations celebrating together in the town we're proud to call home. That's what the Melba parade is all about: hometown pride, family, and gratitude for the freedom we treasure.
